Dusseldorf - Bangkok

Offers a much cheaper business class option.

An alternative to Amsterdam or London if it happens to be convenient for you to get to.

A lot of the flights will involve changing planes in Europe or the middle east. In the middle of the night this can be a killer.

The only non-stop option involves a red-eye flight with arrival at 5am body clock time. Perhaps good if you are an early riser. Horrid if you're a late person.



The non-stop LTU return flights depart Bangkok around midday. The whole flight is thus normal daytime hours both at the point of departure and for your body clock. The return flights however depart Bangkok very late at night. Not great. They do have great fares and the non-stop fare is not much more than long long flights via another European country or the middle east.

OK so non-stop is not great. How about business class?

If coming from Holland, you can use a train to Dusseldorf. It's only 2 hours from Amsterdam.Trains to Dusseldorf
As always the third possibility for doing it in style but without breaking the bank is a stopover.

The favourite from this list is Tehran. Use Irans visa on arrival if you are one of the luck ones from most EU-member countries, Australia or most places in Asia. From the UK, CAnada or the USA (don't bother, I'd guess), you need to apply before leaving home.
